Description
Experience language and cultural immersion through this comprehensive study abroad program! The CIEE High School Abroad program offers you the chance to live with a host family, as well as personal challenges established by attending Chinese high school for a semester or a year. At school, you will take classes in English and a language class on the Beijing dialect, which is a Mandarin subdivision of spoken Chinese generally considered the most widely used dialect of global business in China, Taiwan, and Singapore. Outside of the classroom, you will be able to practice your new or improving language skills with your host family and friends. So, what will your story be in China with CIEE?

CIEE also offers you a three week summer option in Beijing. This program is the perfect opportunity for those students who do not have time to spend a full semester or academic year abroad but who have the interest in learning or improving Mandarin Chinese language skills and exploring Chinese culture first-hand.
